Calistoga Ranch in Napa Valley via Remodelista.

The Calistoga Ranch is the wine-drinking Rough Luxe lover's dream come true. Complete with it's own vineyard, in it's own valley (!!) this 5 star resort begs to be explored with a warm gaze and a private vibe. Cedar lodges, outdoor showers, carved walking sticks, grazing sheep, fresh well water, & beehives are all accessible amenities of this ultimate getaway. Thank to Remodelista for the tip!

Gjelina.

Gjelina is a highly attractive fine dining establishment located right on Abbott Kinney in the beachside neighborhood of Venice, CA. For almost three years Gjelina has been holding down it's territory as the ultimate luxury meets casual, private vs. communal, exquisite, and yet rustic, restaurant. Stand out items on the menu are definitely the pizzas which come piping hot out of the oven just moments before landing on your table. The decor is dark, softly lit, woody, and workshop like with many of the seating arrangements actually created using benches and stools. Considering this place is always jam packed when we pass by, Gjelina seems to be doing something very right.

Bowery Coffee

Located at 89 E Houston St between Bowery & Elizabeth St, Bowery Coffee pours unbelievably delicious coffee from within a space resembling more of a bread line pick-up bakery circa 1940 than a coffee shop. And that'a good thing; a very good thing! We love the no holds bar rustic & industrial design of this spot. Maybe it's the caffeine talking, but it might be our favorite coffee bar in New York City. Yes, we just said that.
